Saturday Scripture: Valuable to God

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"
Matthew 6:26

On Our Hearts: Financial Crisis

Heavenly Father,

We want to lift up those families who are hurting financially. This is such a wonderful time of year, but it can also be a financial strain for many. Home foreclosures, bankruptcy, and financial failure are unfortunately heard all too often. Job loss and debt have caused families to give up their homes, and make sacrifices they were not prepared to make. Adding the pressure of the holidays can be just too much sometimes.

Lord, we ask that You bless those who are struggling. We ask that You send the Holy Spirit to walk with them as they make financial decisions. Give them wisdom and show them how to be good stewards. Father we pray for financial miracles for those who are on the brink. And as they walk in faith, Lord, may You give them peace and patience for Your perfect timing. And Lord, for those who are financially secure, we ask that You show them how they can help others. Whether it be a monetary gift or just a shoulder to lean on, Lord, we ask that You open their hearts to be givers. May they be a blessing to Your people and to the world. In Jesus' name,

Amen

"The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it." Proverbs 10:22

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Phillipians 4:6-7

On Our Hearts: Feeling Alone

Heavenly Father,

Sometimes in our busyness we just feel like You are so far away. How could You ever have time for each and every one of us? We go through our day fighting the same struggles over and over and what if we never hear Your voice? We can’t do this alone, God, we need You to be our strength, our deliverer, our protector.

Lord, we pray that we never forget who and where You are. The Bible tells us that You will never let us down. Help us to remember that when others disappoint us. Remind us that You are always with us even when others have left. Press on our hearts the love that You have for us despite the fact that we may not feel loved. Shower us with Your mercy when we forget to rely on You. Do a might work in us, Lord
.

Amen

“The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Deuteronomy 31:8

On our Hearts: Provision

Father,

We find ourselves thinking we are in control and that we are steering our lives, whether it be in our careers, finances, or relationships, we have a want to control the tangible. Father, there is nothing more affirming than placing that trust in you, the trust for provision and dependence on you. Our prayer is that we will be able to see and recognize your provision. It does not always come in the form we think it should.

I pray that in trusting in you, we see your provision, that we learn from trusting in you. That we grow from trusting in you. We don’t always understand why tough times come, but I pray we continue to trust in you no matter the situation or timing. We give it to you Lord.

In HIS name.
Amen

"For God is the one who gives seed to the farmer to plant, and later on, good crops to harvest and eat, will give you more and more seed to plant and will make it grow so that you can give away more and more fruit from your harvest.'" 2 Corinthians 9: 10
